LUNAmoon Fix Base is an updated version of the brand's long-running Rubber Base, reformulated with a thinner, more fluid consistency for easier application. It's designed as a bonding base for building gels (hard gels), acrygels, colored bases, and Premium Gel, and it's especially well suited to extensions built with American-style gel tips. The formula self-levels and is finished with a neutral scent, so it's comfortable to work with through a full extension service.

Fix Base holds without lifting for 3-4 weeks. Because it's a bonding formula with a pH of 3-4, it may cause a warming sensation on damaged or very thin nails — this isn't typical on healthy nails, but it's worth testing on a small area first if you're working with compromised nails. The clear, transparent finish keeps it invisible under any color or design on top.

How to Use

1. Remove any old product from the nail.
2. Don't file the final nail shape yet — leave about 2mm of margin, since you'll finish shaping after leveling.
3. Buff the nail with a 220-grit file or a 100-grit buffer block.
4. Complete your usual manicure prep.
5. Degrease with LUNAmoon Nail Prep in two passes.
6. Apply a dehydrator.
7. Apply a thin layer of Fix Base with a flat brush, using rubbing motions to work it into the nail. Cure for 60 seconds.
8. Wipe away the sticky residue.
9. File the nail to its final shape.

Cure under a 36-48W UV/LED lamp. Pairs well with the LUNA rubber base line or any LUNA top coat to finish the set.
