LUNA - Cover Base #8, 13ml / 30ml

Cover Base #8 is a highly pigmented camouflage base for covering and leveling nails, available in 13 ml and 30 ml. The manufacturer’s page says the pigmentation gives a high level of coverage of the natural nail, in a formula that is elastic, flexible and thixotropic.

Who It Suits

• Technicians who level the nail plate under gel polish
• Work on natural nails that are short or medium, or on reinforced nails: the page says the base is not suitable for leveling long nails without reinforcement beforehand

Do

• Apply a thin underlayer of a rubber or fix base first, and cure it for 60 seconds
• Leave the sticky layer of the underlayer in place, since the page says it helps chemical adhesion
• Level with this base to a thickness of 0.5 mm at the free edge, and cure for 90 seconds
• Use an original lamp rated 36-48 W
• Warm the base slightly if a thinner consistency is wanted

Do Not

• Wipe the top coat after curing it for 120 seconds: the page says this can dull the shine
• Skip the underlayer: the page says one is required
• Use it to level long nails that have not been reinforced
