LUNA - Cover Base #5, 13ml / 30ml

Cover Base #5 is a camouflage base for covering and leveling nails, sold in 13 ml and 30 ml bottles. The manufacturer’s page describes a highly pigmented formula with a high level of coverage of the natural nail, and a base that is elastic and flexible.

How It Handles

• Medium, thixotropic consistency: it thins out as the brush moves, and is not runny
• Self-levels quickly
• Can be warmed slightly to make it thinner
• Neutral smell
• Possible minimal shrinkage during wear, which the page links to the elasticity of the base

Cure Times

The page says to use an original lamp with 36-48 W output.

Leveling Notes

1. Leave the nail unfiled or about 2 mm long, and trim after leveling.
2. Apply a thin underlayer of a rubber or fix base, cure it, and leave the sticky layer on.
3. Level the nail with the camouflage base. The recommended thickness at the free edge is 0.5 mm.
4. File the shape, wipe off the sticky layer, apply the top coat and cure without wiping.

Primer is only needed in some cases, depending on the acidity of the underlayer. The page says the base is not suitable for leveling long nails without reinforcement beforehand.
