About Luna - Cover Base #34, 13ml / 30ml

Cover Base #34 is a classic camouflage base for covering and leveling nails, in 13 ml and 30 ml. According to the manufacturer’s page, high pigmentation gives a high level of coverage of the natural nail, and the formula is elastic and flexible, with a neutral smell.

Rules of Thumb

1. Start with an underlayer of a rubber or fix base and cure it for 60 seconds, leaving the sticky layer on.
2. Level to about 0.5 mm at the free edge and cure for 90 seconds.
3. File the shape afterwards, so the free edge keeps enough thickness.
4. Wipe off the sticky layer, then cure the top coat for 120 seconds and leave it unwiped.
5. Use an original lamp rated 36-48 W. The page does not say whether it should be LED or UV.

What to Expect

A medium, thixotropic consistency: the base thins out as the brush moves, does not run and self-levels quickly. It can be warmed to make it thinner. The page claims wear without peeling for 3-4 weeks, and mentions possible minimal shrinkage during wear.
