Luna - Cover Base #33, 13ml / 30ml

Cover Base #33 is a camouflage base for gel nail systems that covers and levels the nail, in 13 ml and 30 ml. The manufacturer’s page describes a highly pigmented, elastic and flexible formula with high coverage of the natural nail.

Reach for It When

• The nail plate needs covering and leveling under gel polish
• A base that thins out as the brush moves is wanted: it is thixotropic, medium in consistency, does not run and self-levels quickly
• A thinner consistency is needed: the page says the base can be warmed slightly
• The nails are short or medium, or already reinforced

Skip It When

• The nails are long and have not been reinforced beforehand
• No rubber or fix base underlayer is available, since the page says one is required
• The lamp is not an original one rated 36-48 W

Application Recap

Underlayer cured for 60 seconds with its sticky layer left on. Leveling layer, about 0.5 mm at the free edge, cured for 90 seconds. File the shape, wipe off the sticky layer, then the top coat for 120 seconds, left unwiped. A primer is optional.
