Luna - Cover Base #27, 13ml / 30ml

About Luna - Cover Base #27, 13ml / 30ml

Cover Base #27 is a camouflage base from the Classic Cover Bases line, sold in 13 ml and 30 ml. It is made to cover the natural nail and level it under gel polish.

Covers

The manufacturer’s page describes a highly pigmented formula that gives a high level of coverage of the natural nail, with a neutral smell.

Levels

A medium, thixotropic consistency: it thins out as the brush moves, does not run and self-levels quickly. It can be warmed to make it thinner. The page gives a leveling rule of 0.5 mm at the free edge, and asks to file the shape afterwards so the free edge has enough thickness.

Lasts

The page claims wear without lifting for 3-4 weeks. It notes that minimal shrinkage is possible during wear because the base is elastic and flexible.

Timing

The underlayer of a rubber or fix base is cured for 60 seconds, the leveling layer for 90 seconds and the top coat for 120 seconds. The page asks for an original lamp rated 36-48 W, and advises against wiping the top coat after curing.
