Luna - Cover Base #23, 13ml / 30ml

About Luna - Cover Base #23, 13ml / 30ml

Cover Base #23 is a camouflage base for covering and leveling nails, in 13 ml and 30 ml. The manufacturer’s page describes it as highly pigmented, elastic and flexible, with a thixotropic consistency that thins out as the brush moves, does not run and self-levels quickly.

The Layer Stack, from the Nail Up

1. Underlayer: a thin layer of a rubber or fix base, cured for 60 seconds, with the sticky layer left on
2. Leveling: Cover Base #23, kept to 0.5 mm at the free edge and cured for 90 seconds
3. Top coat: applied after filing and wiping off the sticky layer, cured for 120 seconds and left unwiped

Prep Checklist

• Remove old product
• Shape the nail, or leave about 2 mm of length to trim after leveling
• Buff with a 220-grit file or a 100-grit buffer
• Degrease in two passes
• Use a primer only if the underlayer is not acidic enough

What the Listing Claims

• High coverage of the natural nail
• Neutral smell
• Wear without lifting for 3-4 weeks
• Possible minimal shrinkage during wear, linked to the elasticity of the base
• Not suitable for leveling long nails without prior reinforcement
