The shade sits closer to a "your lips but pinker" warmth than the cooler pinks in the line, and the flecks running through it are fine enough to read as texture rather than glitter. On the nail, it looks less like decoration and more like the pink itself is faintly glowing.

Versatility is the real story here. Most Cover Base shades are built for one job — a full manicure over the natural nail. Romantic does that, but it also holds up as a decorative top layer over an existing gel color, something the brand specifically calls out for this shade. That's not true of every Cover Base in this line.

Two application paths, depending on what you're doing:

• Full manicure: dehydrator → primer → clear base foundation → 1–2 coats of Romantic (60–120 sec cure each) → top coat.
