Luna Opal Base #1 is a decorative camouflage base designed to create a delicate opal shimmer effect while strengthening and leveling the natural nail plate. The formula contains fine reflective particles that give the manicure a soft, multidimensional glow reminiscent of natural opal. This base is ideal for elegant, natural-looking nail designs with a subtle decorative finish.

Thanks to its high pigmentation, Luna Opal Base #1 effectively covers imperfections of the natural nail, such as uneven color or minor surface irregularities. At the same time, its elastic structure allows the coating to remain flexible, providing comfortable wear for up to 3–4 weeks without lifting when applied correctly.

Important: This base is not suitable for leveling long nails without prior reinforcement. Recommended leveling thickness is approximately 0.5 mm.

Application Method

1. Remove previous coating. Do not file nail shape; alternatively leave about 2 mm extra length to adjust after leveling.

2. Lightly buff the nail surface using a 220 grit file or a 100 grit buffer.

3. Perform manicure preparation. If removers were used, wash hands with soap and water.

4. Degrease nails using Nail Prep LUNAmoon with two cleaning passes. Use 4 wipes total (one wipe per 5 fingers). Clean cuticle and sidewall areas with an orangewood stick wrapped in a wipe.

5. Apply Rubber Base underlay with a flat gel brush using rubbing strokes. Cure for 60 seconds.

6. Remove sticky layer.

7. Apply Opal Base #1 for leveling. Cure in lamp for 90 seconds.

8. Remove dust and check free edge thickness. If nails are thin, file approximately 1 mm from the center of the natural nail to prevent curling.

9. Remove stickiness again and apply gel polish or an additional thin camouflage layer if desired.

10. Apply top coat and cure for 120 seconds. Do not wipe after curing to maintain shine.

Lamp requirement: 36–48 W UV/LED lamp (original professional lamp recommended).

Storage

Shelf life: 24 months.
After opening: store and use within 18 months.
